The Patient Service Technician is responsible for delivering medical equipment and supplies to patients in the hospital in a timely and professional manner and teaching patient how to use and maintain their equipment. This is a Weekend Only position Sat & Sun working in Moses Cone and Wesley Long Hospitals

Duties: |
| Delivers/Picks up supplies and equipment in a courteous, accurate and timely manner. Trains and educates patients and caregivers on use of equipment and answers any inquiries they may have about AHC services. Informs new patients about their rights and responsibilities, who to contact with questions and how contact the billing department. Responsible for obtaining signatures of patient or caregiver for each piece of appropriate paperwork including but not limited to the delivery ticket, assignment of benefits, care plan, and waiver of liability. Documents time of delivery on delivery ticket and also lists any problems or changes to the order. Contacts appropriate person if immediate action is needed, such as a new order generated. Responsible for returning paperwork to appropriate area in a timely manner. Responsible for troubleshooting and servicing all equipment and making decisions on switch-outs. |
Qualifications: |
High School Diploma or equivalency; good communication skills. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 160 pounds |
