Warehouse Technician- B. Hawks

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting returned equipment, cleaning room maintenance, stocking and staging inventory, and inventory maintenance.  The Warehouse Technician assists the Warehouse Manager in pulling and loading equipment for delivery in addition to assembly of equipment when necessary.

   The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 160 pounds using the appropriate equipment.  Must be able to stretch, bend, stoop and crouch and perform moderate to heavy physical labor while moving equipment, materials and supplies.  The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs and maneuver heavy equipment through tight spaces to access a patient's residence.  Drive a delivery van or truck safely, sometimes through hazardous weather conditions.  The employee must be able to identify safety hazards and take the necessary precautions.  Work with a minimum of supervision and demonstrate the ability to problem solve.  Must be able to communicate effectively with patients and demonstrate courtesy and respect for privacy.  Work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of work.  Work environment may be stressful at times as work levels fluctuate.  The employee may be required to work long hours and drive for long periods of time.  Steel-toed shoes and uniforms are required at all times.
