Description: | | Perform assigned work in preparing and serving food, cleaning food service areas, equipment and utensils. | Duties: | Prepares patient trays according to instructions/ order.
Assist in preperation and portioning of meal items according to menu and diet requirements.
Cleans, washes, and sanitizes dishes, silverware and utensils used to service patients and others.
Cleans work area and equipment as assigned.
Puts up stock in food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned.
Delivers food, nourishments, and supplies to nursing units and other areas as assigned.
Performs duties using proper infection control techniques and using protective equipment as needed. | Qualifications: | Education: Tenth grade or above desirable
Experience in dietary department, large volume food preperation and service preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with other staff members, referral sources,residents and their families.
