Duties: |
Under direction of the HospiceHelp 24 RN, the HospiceHelp 24 Hospice Aide provides supportive care to patients and families experiencing life limiting illnesses outside normal business hours. He/she intervenes to maximize patient's comfort and enhance quality of life through provision of personal care, emotional support, homemaker assistance and specified procedures.
Position is weekends only (Saturday and Sunday) 8am - midnight. Full time - 32 hours per week.
Travel throughout Hillsborough County on a daily basis is required for this position. The qualified candidate will provide daily visits to multiple patients throughout Hillsborough County.
Reliable transportation is a MUST. Valid Florida's drivers license and automobile insurance (minimum of 10/20/10) are required.

Qualifications: |
Current Florida certificate as a C.N.A.
One (1) year CNA experience
Ability to use equipment with visual and auditory mechanisms.
Ability to communicate (written and oral) in English.
Ability to manage the emotional stress of working with and caring for terminally ill patients and their families.
Ability to perform the essential functions and physical requirements (including, but not limited to: lifting patients and/or equipment, bending, pushing/pulling, kneeling) of the job with or withou reasonable accommodation.
Must be able/willing to have contact with individuals with communicable diseases.
Must be willing to complete a background and drivers' record check. |
