Glacier Hills acclaimed Care and Rehabilitation Center has been providing outstanding care and customer service to our 161 residents for more than 35 years. We provide Sub-Acute, Long Term care, Medicare and Memory Care for older adults and are looking for compassionate and caring Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA's) to join our quality health care team.
Part-time positions available for days (6:30 am - 2:30 pm) and afternoon (2:30 pm - 10:30 pm)shifts. Alternate weekends are required.
All shifts are 7.5 hours of paid time. We also provide fixed two week schedules to help balance work/life. Our patient ratios are excellent! |
Duties: |
Provide nursing care to assigned residents and perform specific unit activities under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN).
General Duties:
Informs RN or LPN of “Unusual incidents” and changes in residents’ overall function.
Assists with or performs basic nursing care needs, transporting of residents, etc. as directed by the RN or LPN.
Responsible for obtaining, maintaining, cleaning, and returning supplies and equipment on the nursing unit.
Responsible for the completion of assignments, records, and forms as required by work assignment.
Perform technical skills safely and according to accepted procedure; demonstrate a working knowledge of equipment. Is competent in performing special procedures unique to the assigned unit.
Assists and/or performs dressing, bathing, feeding, lifting, and infection control procedures with residents.
Maintains feeding food acceptance records (F.A.R.), and Activities of Daily Living (A.D.L.) documentation sheets.
Performs and documents vital signs and weights.

Qualifications: |
Current State of Michigan Certified Nurse Assistant Certification required.
Previous experience in long term care is preferred.
Must possess a special interest in, and a positive attitude about working with long-term care residents and staff.
High School Diploma or GED required.
You must have excellent communication skills, outstanding customer service skills, compassion, be a reliable and dependable team player and be able to prioritize and multi-task in fast-paced environment.
