Description: |
| Under RN supervision, the Hospice Aide performs personal care, homemaker assistance and defined nursing procedures for terminally ill patients and their caregivers. Must have a minimum of 1 year CNA experience and a Florida CNA license. |
Duties: |
Maintain competencies/contact hours as required by HPC and state.
Provides patient/caregiver services according to the approved HA Procedures List and company policies and procedures including Homemaker duties.
Assist patient and or caregiver in maintaining a clean and safe home.
Provides caring and emotional support for patients/caregivers.
Practices safe and proper body mechanics relative to moving, positioning and transferring patients. |
Qualifications: |
Graduate of Nursing Assistant program.
Current Florida CNA certification required.
Must have at least one year of in-patient experience.
Ability to communicate in English
Valid Florida drivers license and automobile insurance (minimum required; 10/20/10)
Ability to successfully pass drivers record check as well as a background check.
Ability to perform the essential functions and physical requirements (including but not limited to: lifting patients and/or equipment, bending, pushing/pulling, kneeling) of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
