BJHCHS Inc is recruiting for qualified medical professionals to provide services with the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. Ronald McDonald Care Mobile provides cost-effective, high-quality medical, dental and health education services to underserved children in rural areas of Beaufort Jasper and Hampton counties. The mobile will help bridge the gap between hospitals and underserved children and will allow children with the greatest barriers to accessible health care get the care they need.
All Ronald McDonald Care Mobile services are provided in a 40-foot long, 8-foot wide, state-of-the-art vehicle built specifically for delivering pediatric health care services. The mobile will include includes two patient examination rooms, a laboratory, reception and medical records areas.

Duties: |
Position Summary:
Dental hygienist and the dentist work together to meet the oral health needs of patients. They are responsible for educating patients in the care of teeth and gums. They also demonstrate cleaning techniques and provide advice about the effects of diet and prevention of dental decay.
Position Requirements:
• Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;
(e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling)
• Applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides)
• Patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood pressure and pulse
• Maintains dental records; obtains and records basic dental history and information and records evaluation of mouth conditions and extent of oral prophylaxis on dental chart.

Qualifications: |
Minimum of one (1) year experience. Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program. Applicants must possess SC RDH License
