Duties: |
Compliance
• Assist VP Compliance with training programs related to compliance.
• Performs compliance audits as assigned.
• Assists with compliance investigations as directed by VP Compliance.
• Prepares cover letter and medical records for submission to requesting agencies. Ensures records submission timelines are met.
• Provides training and education to staff on documentation related to hospice appropriateness bi-monthly.
• Assume team lead role during probe edits and medical review activities.
• Reviews each medical record that has been requested by payor, any governing regulatory agency or legal request prior to release. This can include ADR, CERT, PERM or other requests for information.
• Monitors and tracks all requests for additional information.

Qualifications: |
Experience:
Required: Minimum of five years nursing experience, at least three years in hospice care.
Desired: 5 years nursing experience, 3 years hospice experience with three years of experience in developing, implementing and evaluating quality improvement programs and activities in acute care or home care settings. Staff development / education experience. Experience with Medicare/State Licensure Surveys and / or JCAHO Surveys.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Hospice, Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, QAPI data collection and analysis.

•Possession of critical-thinking skills to prioritize activities based on the mutual goals of Regency Healthcare Group, LLC and acuity of the situation.

Travel:
• 75-80% travel required.
• Frequent overnights.
Education
Required: Diploma or A.D. in Nursing required
Desired: B.S. in Nursing
